Come on man, stop being so whinny. I don't personally enjoy you putting yourself down. If it's honest and you r at a low point then fine, go at it. But please don't make it a regular thing. Like I said before. "quit you bitching" and just be you. I don't feel better by you running yourself down.Sorry man but I just had to say it.
Dude? I don't think we're white anymore, I think we're caucausian.(tongue firmly planted in cheek...)
Oh dear- we really are in a pickle now Katherine! I've just checked my online dictionary, and it seems that Caucasian is 'often offensive'. But I think you can still refer to me as a WASP, if you like.WASP: upper- or middle-class American white Protestant, considered to be a member of the most powerful group in society.Gosh- I can almost taste the power!
Councillor Rob Ford's sorry-assed apology, in case anyone's interested, for saying:"Those Oriental people work like dogs. ...The Oriental people, they're slowly taking over."http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/toronto/archive/2008/03/31/163333.aspx
Well, if it's offensive, then the OED doesn't know it, nor do all the folks who send me neverending surveys to fill out (though they give me the option of refusing to answer on that question). I'm always tempted to answer something more exotic than "caucasian".WASP is where we part ways, I'm afraid, since I can pretty much only answer (wholly anway) to the "W". Which is pretty much symbolic of how useless it is, really, to try to stuff people into these boxes. That said, I've never understood "Oriental", but I think that's because in French, "oriental" refers to someone from the middle east or the maghreb.I suppose that if the "Orientals" are taking over, I should be very glad I'm married to one. Though I'd rather not let him know, it might go to his head...
yo dude.still here. still loving your stuff.happy birthday (whenever it is)also, heard you on CPB. i'm also very much looking forward to meeting you.tim
