Fantastic idea!

I was out walking while listening and had to restrain myself from yelling out "Fuck yeah!" in the middle of downtown Calgary. I'm looking forward to hearing what comes of it.

Thanks for being the first to post on this Eric! Of course I am greedily trying to take credit for the idea, as it seemed to come to me out of the blue, but I know that things like this are a result of thoughts simmering in a stew with ingredients coming from a variety of sources. You for sure have played a part in this, as you do a live podcast which is the kind of thing I'm talking about here.

Now if you and Rachelle ever do make it to Toronto, it would be GREAT to have you guys do a show or show segment live at the Imperial!

Interesting idea. I wonder if once a week might be too often, unless you can get a few people to promise to show up regularly for the first few months or so, just to get the ball rolling.

Another idea to consider would be to avoid having a stage-audience setup, but rather a setup that allows people to participate to the level they are comfortable with. Similar to online conversations where you have core participants (driving topic), people who chime in every once in a while, and people who lurk on the edges (the audience).

...or maybe you were just thinking more of an open mike configuration, where people would each get a share of the attention...

I'll be listening to hear how you develop this idea. I think that it has the potential to bring together people locally, which is a good thing. The challenge of course is how to get people who prob create/listen to podcasts in stolen moments here and there to attend a physical even on a regular basis.

Those look like Dark Horse Cafe coffees. If so, I was probably about four stories above you at my desk.

Anyway, great idea. I couldn't make every week, but I'd certainly make a regular appearance, say, a couple of times a month. I mean, who couldn't use a creative surge like this, on a regular basis?

That is an awesomely brilliant idea. Love it. As Prick said though, everything happens in Toronto. Which means I need to get my ass to Toronto.

This idea sounded pretty good when you mentioned it to me the other day, but hearing it here made it seem even better. I'm trying not to over-think it, but I even came up with a first topic I could blab about to kick off the first week. Nice work, old timer! There's still some gasoline in that head!

I may even make a trip to the dank wilds of downtown TO once a month if this was happening.
