Having ridden in a Triumph Spitfire, I know exactly what you're talking about.
My dad had one when he was young and causing trouble in Pointe Clair.
He bought one a few years ago that was about the same year as the one he had before. It was blast to ride in.
I keep forgetting about that Pointe Claire connection! Maybe I even saw your dad drive by, and was jealous of his cool car. Very neat that he found another Triumph years later.
