Hey Dude, Really enjoyed the episode. I was a psychology major myself at GSU, but I'll have to do a bit of research to re-familiarize myself with the Gestalt method. When I was in school, I was able to take advantage of some free counseling that was offered to any and all students who applied for it and there's definitely something to say about the power of simply having another human being listen to the content of our inner worlds. It's like an exorcism of sorts and reminds me of some Greek idea about how there is a stark difference between thoughts that exist solely in our minds and the form they take once we give them breath. There's an important transformation that takes place there that's hard to articulate but can be subjectively recognized and felt. Also, I thought your description of Japan was spot on. A specific instance during my time there matched exactly what you described about Japanese honesty. A few friends and I were on the west coast checking out Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara and my friend who had orchestrated the trip, and was holding our train tickets, accidentally left his camera bag - and the tickets as well- on a bus. Despite the fact that none of the three of us - a Ukrainian, a Vietnamese and an American - had perfect Japanese speaking ability, we were able to get his bag back (it was turned in the style you mentioned) and it was returned that very day, with a matter of hours. The crisis was averted before it even really had time to blossom and course of actions was something that only the most optimistic fool should expect to happen here in America. Anyway, I enjoyed the company that your show provided me yesterday and will, as always, look forward to the next update. Enjoy your Sunday.
Did a little listening up here in the mountains, and thinking good thoughts about you. Miss your ugly, old face, but love you deeply. Be well my friend, and podcast on!xocarly
